just got back from an incredible weekend at Snowshoe Mountain Resort. This place is a must-visit for any skier or snowboarder. We stayed at the Allegheny Springs and the location in the Village was perfect—we never had to drive anywhere. Our room was cozy and clean. For dinner, we ate at Appalachia Kitchen, and the food and service were top-notch. It was the perfect way to cap off a long day on the slopes. Already planning our next trip back

Wow wow wow. If I could give more stars I would. This was such an amazing place, I was very impressed. The resort is huge, so many things to go and see. We went for tubing (big family of 7) first time visit coming from NC. We drove 6 hours and it was SO worth it. The snow was beautiful, we will be back to do snowboarding, the staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Best mountain in the mid Atlantic. Busy on the weekend! The village is great. Restaurants, bars and shopping. Even has a small market for your needs. Everything in one place. And it snows a lot here!

Absolutely loved this trip! What a magical place... you feel on top of the world here! The trees were beautifully decorated in snow and ice each part of the mountain had it's own character/vibe. Absolutely loved the "western" and the lift operator dressed in a cowboy hat and stache. I'm OBSESSED with waffle cabin, so I was obviously very happy they had one! Did my 1st double-black here on Western, and it was my favorite run of the day! I felt like I was being trolled with the signage, because it's followed by a flat with no drop in sight. But the you have an incredible view and an incredible bottom half. The night portion was half closed, and they had the pow runs closed, but it was still rwlatively enjoyable.

Experienced snow tubing and snowboarding for the first time during my visit to Snowshoe Mountain. I didn’t stay on the actual resort, we had got an air bnb about 20 mins away. While on the resort though, I did like how the lodging looked. If I were to go back I definitely would instead just go ahead and stay on the mountain resort because driving through the woods / mountain to get to and from the resort to the air bnb was not fun at all; especially at night! Snow tubing: we went snow tubing during the night time. There weren’t too many other people there during this time, so the line to keep tubing over and over wasn’t much of a wait at all. I give the experience a 10/10 overall. It was fun and different. Snowboarding: when we first got into all our gear and equipment, we were just told to go outside. We were all under the impression that we would receive a tutorial or instructional presentation about first time snowboarding, but that did NOT happen. Had entirely no clue there was even a “practice” area until after I slipped and fell on the ice and my snowboard went flying down the mountain and into the woods. I went and got help from the emergency team who then informed us that there was a practice area to go to first. I ended up staying in that practice area the whole time and completely wasted my money on having a ski lift ticket. I thought a practice area would’ve been at the bottom of the mountain where we’d start at, so the ski lift ticket would be needed once you’re comfortable and can go ski/snowboard from the very top but no, u start at (like get on the actual slope at) and the practice area are both mid - mountain. Overall the experience was a 7/10. It’s possible I’ll give Snowshoe another try in the future now that I’ve experienced what it’s like. My overall rate of experience : 7/10

A Core Memory Unlocked – Best Trip Ever ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t recommend Snowshoe enough. I planned this trip to show my son the mountains and snow for the very first time, and this place delivered a miracle. When we drove up the mountain, everything was green—honestly, I was a little worried. But by day two, the switch flipped. It started snowing and didn't stop for three days straight! We watched the entire landscape transform from a green mountain into a total winter wonderland. We ended up with about a foot of fresh powder on the slopes (even Marlinton down the road got 8 inches!). Riding that fresh, deep powder was undeniably badass. My son had the time of his life seeing snow and snowboarding for the first time in conditions like that, and I did too. It is an amazingly beautiful place with incredible terrain. If you want a trip you'll talk about forever, this is it.

Had an awesome weekend here with friends and coworkers!! Got a ski in ski out BnB with a hot tub right on the mountain. From fast lift lines to fresh snow it was 10/10 for being out east!! It snowed approximately 8 inches while we were there, had no issues getting around or getting off the mountain. We had no phone service for about an hour before the mountain.
